On Wednesday, September 26, 2018 we had the wonderful privilege of celebrating the consecration of the Rev. Peter Klenner as a bishop in the Anglican Mission. Peter’s consecration was held during the Anglican Mission in Canada’s National Summit and presided over by the Most Rev. Zacharie Masimango Katanda, Archbishop of the Province of the Anglican Church of the Congo - chief consecrator, with the Rt. Rev. Sospeter Ndenza and Rt. Rev. William Mugenyi Bahemuka acting as co-consecrators. Hosted at Cedar Springs Christian Retreat Centre, his installation was later celebrated with family, church and friends from many nations on Friday September 28, 2018 at White Rock Baptist Church.
Peter has been serving the Mission for the past eleven years and is the Pastor of All Saints Community Church located in White Rock, B.C. Peter also leads the Peninsula Pastors’ Network (P.P.N.) and enjoys serving there as a pastor to pastors. He has a great love and passion for those who serve in ministry and works tirelessly to support and encourage them in their labours for God's Kingdom.
Peter will continue to serve alongside Bishop Silas Ng (theAM in Canada’s Apostolic Vicar), counting it both a great privilege and an extension of their deep friendship. He will also guide the Mission in Canada’s pursuit of a clear and intentional process for recognizing, recruiting, resourcing and releasing leaders for Kingdom ministry in Canada.
Read more about Peter’s ministry and consecration in the Peach Arch News (please note: some of the details in this article re: those attending and co-consecrating at Peter’s consecration service differ from the actual event as several of those who are listed in the article and who planned to do so were unable to attend at the last minute due to health and/or visa issues).
